How to Apply?
Even though students must be admitted in both engineering colleges (IST/ECE-CMU) FULL APPLICATIONS (with documentation) MUST be submitted to Carnegie Mellon University website only(box below).

Students must enroll at the ECE department by filling the admission form http://www.ece.cmu.edu/prospective/graduate/application/ . In the electronic application form, applicants must choose the ICTI PhD program. Plese read the form carefully and send all needed transcripts and documents. Deadline: DECEMBER 15, 2010 See Details in the Carnegie Mellon-Portugal website
Also, please fill the IST form below (only the form, no documentation and no fee) and send it to the program coordinator at IST by email(jpc AT isr.ist.utl.pt).

Fill the FORM. Read the form carefully and send it by email tocmuportugal-ece(AT)isr.ist.utl.pt . At this point applicants are not required to send documents to IST.Admission Tests - Please read
All applicants must do and submit the TOEFL and GRE scores to CMU. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and GRE (Graduate Record Examination) are requirements and quite relevant in the selection process. Applicants should prepare them carefully.
To register and obtain all information about GRE and TOEFL visit www.ets.org or contact the program coordination (cmuportugal-ece AT isr.ist.utl.pt).
Applications that are not complete (e.g., missing GREs or TOEFL) will still be considered evaluated, with decisions pending on conditional submission of all required materials. You may send the tests after the application.
